Anna Chafin

RISE President and CEO

Anna Chafin joined SEDA in January 2024 as President and CEO of RISE, which stands for Regional Industry Support Enterprise. She is responsible overseeing the implementation for the recently released workforce study.

For the the past 10 years Chafin served as the CEO for the Development Authority of Bryan County.  She has worked in economic development in coastal Georgia for almost 20 years.

Anna has held various leadership positions in the Georgia Economic Developers Association (GEDA), including chairing the organization in 2017.  Anna was originally appointed to the Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC) by Governor Nathan Deal, and Governor Brian Kemp reappointed her to a second term, which she is currently serving.  Anna is a past chair of the GSFC board and the LSEGA Alumni Association.

In 2022, Anna received the GEDA Rip Wiley Award for Professional Excellence and the Emerging Leader Award from the Southeast Georgia Leadership Forum.
